SUPPORT AND GUIDANCE

Perhaps you're spending time caught up in thoughts about the past or worries about the future. Maybe you're experiencing feelings of anxiety, sadness over grief and loss, or stress over facing challenges, achieving your goals, and navigating life changes.

What to expect:

Trauma-informed therapy.

A trauma-informed approach recognizes the impacts of trauma on individuals.

Cognitive Therapy.

In our sessions, we will spend time connecting the dots between experiences, emotions, thoughts, and behaviors to help you create the life you want.

Person-Centered Therapy.

Our sessions will be tailored specifically to you and your needs with the recognition that each individual is able to do what is necessary for growth, change, and self-actualization.

Areas of Specialty, Lived Experience, and Special Interest:
Neurodiversity

ADHD

Anxiety

Healthy Grieving

Substance Use Recovery

Emotion Regulation

Nervous System Regulation

Healing from Trauma

Sessions may include review and practice of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills (DBT) and Radically Open DBT skills. These skills practices are structured, with an emphasis on mindfulness, including the practice of observing your thoughts and emotions, along with tools for staying present in the now.

We may also incorporate thought defusion; allowing a thought to be just a thought, a feeling to just be a feeling - and practices that support holistic peace of mind. When appropriate for clients, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) can be incorporated into your treatment plan.

Along with these techniques, we will incorporate the practice of grounding and somatic containment techniques to assist with the regulation of your nervous system.
